  • packet ship t-shirt (team colours: red, orange, yellow, green, blue or purple)
  • black shorts
  • track-suit or warm clothing as necessary
  • trainers
  • a change of socks
  • swimwear, including swimming cap (and a towel)

Most infant PE sessions are indoor activities and do not require the children to change.  They work in bare feet – please do not provide plimsolls as, when the children do move to outdoor lessons, trainers are much more practical.  Kit can be kept safe in a kit-bag in school throughout the week.

Children must wear safe and sensible footwear at all times (there is no stipulation on colour).  Good, sturdy and breathable trainers are ideal as they can be worn throughout the day and for PE.  Open toe shoes and crocks are not permissible owing to the stairs and other trip hazards around school. Slip-on shoes are not advisable, again for safety reasons, and cannot be worn when using the any of the outdoor equipment .

No jewellery (except for wrist watch and plain stud ear-rings) or make-up (including nail-varnish) should be worn in school.

Castle Sports - COVID19 Guidelines for ordering school uniform

  • Social distancing measures will be in place - this will severely limit the number of people we can serve in the shop so parents will need to shop early as we won’t be able to accommodate the usual crush in the shop at the end of the summer holidays!

  • The order deadline to guarantee delivery in time for the new school year is Saturday 8th August.

  • We will be opening from 11am-4pm initially to allow time for us to pack up online orders before we open and clean down at the end of each day.

  • We will only allow one adult plus their child/children per family group – so please leave aunty, granny and grandad (and any additional children if possible) at home!

  • Please maintain social distancing whilst queuing outside the shop.

  • We’ve installed a screen and a hand sanitising station in the shop and all customers will be asked to clean their hands on entry.

  • Our changing rooms will be closed so it won’t be possible for customers to try on uniform, however we will be happy to exchange items that are the wrong size. Any items of clothing that are returned for an exchange will be quarantined for 72 hours before re-sale.

  • Contactless payments are preferred please.

  • Please do not visit the shop if you or any members of your family have any symptoms of Covid19.

  • Uniform can be ordered online or by phone, with options to pay for home delivery or click and collect for free from the shop or free delivery to the school if orders are placed before the end of term - visit www.castlesports.co.uk

  • Leave the name-labelling until the end of the holidays as we will be happy to exchange unworn items of uniform for a different size (subject to availability) if your child has a growth spurt!

  • Government guidance is changing all the time so please check our website and Facebook page for the most up to date information regarding opening times, restrictions, etc.

Thank you for your support in helping us to reduce the spread of Covid19
