School Curriculum
The curriculum at Marlborough is organised into focussed topics to provide memorable experiences and opportunities for children to make connections across their learning.  Teachers plan integrated learning experiences for all aspects of the National Curriculum.  Mathematics concepts and skills are also taught in distinct lessons.  There is a daily reading session in Key stage 1 – we use Little Wandle Letters and Sounds as a backbone for phonics and support children’s learning of reading with a range of teaching resources and strategies.  Our Reading scheme continues through the school with a broad selection of reading material and experiences.  For full details of the themes and content covered in each academic year group, please see the Curriculum Learning section of our website.
